Available PADI eLearning Classes

During the PADI Open Water Diver course, you’ll learn what you need to know to explore the underwater world using scuba. Most people find it a rewarding challenge. The PADI Open Water Diver course includes three parts: Knowledge Development, Confined Water Dives, and Open Water Dives.

Knowledge Development covers the principles, concepts and terms you need to know for dive safety and enjoyment. During the Confined Water Dives, you learn and practice scuba skills in a pool or water with pool-like conditions. You’ll enjoy making one or more minidives, which take you through the same steps you follow when you make open water dives. To complete training you practice, apply and demonstrate what you learn during four Open Water Dives at a local dive site. Earning a PADI Open Water Diver certification shows that you met the course requirements.

Dive centers and resorts require proof of certification before they will rent scuba equipment, fill scuba cylinders or book dive excursions. As a PADI Open Water Diver, you’ll be trained to a maximum depth of 18 metres/60 feet, and are qualified to dive in conditions as good as, or better than, those in which you trained. It’s just the beginning of a lifetime filled with dive adventures.

Advanced Open Water

The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver eLearning is designed to improve your underwater knowledge and skills. You can enroll immediately after earning your PADI Open Water Diver certification regardless of your skill level. The course helps you build confidence in navigation, fine-tune buoyancy skills and introduces you to different diving activities such as wreck diving, night diving or underwater imaging.

After completing your eLearning, you’ll make five Adventure Dives: a deep dive (beyond 18m/60F), a navigation dive, and three additional Adventure Dives of your choice to earn your certification. *This course fee only covers your online training, assessments and certification card. Practical training fees, dives, dive equipment, student slate and logbook are available at additional fees via your PADI Dive Center.

The PADI Rescue Diver course teaches you techniques to avoid and manage problems and improve your confidence as a diver. During the course you’ll become a better buddy by enhancing your ability to identify potential problems and by practicing dive emergency protocol. The subject is serious but the training is fun – many divers tell us the PADI Rescue Diver course was their favorite! *This course fee only covers your online training, assessments and certification card. Practical training fees, dives, dive equipment, student slate and logbook are available at additional fees via your PADI Dive Center.

Enriched Air/ Nitrox

Enriched Air, also known as “nitrox”, is a form of breathing gas that allows divers to extend bottom time and reduce nitrogen loading. It is PADI’s most popular specialty course. PADI Enriched Air Diver Online can be completed in as little as an afternoon. After completing your online learning you’ll apply the knowledge you’ve learned by practicing procedures for obtaining and analyzing enriched air with your PADI Instructor.

You also have the option of completing two open water enriched air dives. This certification counts towards the PADI Master Scuba Diver rating. *This course fee only covers your online training, assessments and certification card. Practical training fees, dives, dive equipment, student slate and logbook are available at additional fees via your PADI Dive Center.

Digital Underwater Photography

This specialty course helps you easily achieve great photo and video results. This course also counts towards the Advanced Open Water Diver course and your Master Scuba Diver rating. *This course fee only covers your online training, assessments and certification card. Practical training fees, dives, dive equipment, student slate and logbook are available at additional fees via your PADI Dive Center.

Share your passion for scuba diving by becoming a PADI Divemaster. As a divemaster you’ll supervise scuba diving activities and assist with scuba classes. PADI Divemaster is the first step in your diving career. *This course fee only covers your online training, assessments and certification card. Practical training fees, dives, dive equipment, student slate and logbook are available at additional fees via your PADI Dive Center.

If it’s been a while since your last dive PADI’s Scuba Tune-up program will help you feel comfortable getting back in the water. Whether you have a dive trip coming up or want to pursue additional dive training, PADI Scuba Tune-Up allows you to quickly refresh your knowledge and scuba skills. The course is designed to help you focus only on the topics where your knowledge may have lapsed, and skip over material you know well. Any certified diver can enroll in the PADI Scuba Tune-Up course, and you can ask for a sticker to put on your certification card to show you’ve recently refreshed your skills. *This course fee only covers your online training, assessments and certification card. Practical training fees, dives, dive equipment, student slate and logbook are available at additional fees via your PADI Dive Center.

PADI Reactivate

Been awhile since your last scuba dive? It happens. But, what do you do in a current? What's the signal for "turn the dive"? What are the steps to a predive safety check? What is a predive safety check?

Not sure? No worries. Whether you’ve been dry for a while and need to refresh scuba principles and skills, or you've been diving a lot but want to review the basics, PADI ReActivate is for you.

Dive Theory eLearning is a comprehensive overview of dive physics, dive physiology, dive skills, environmental considerations, dive equipment, and decompression theory and the Recreational Dive Planner (RDP). Each section consists of multimedia instructional material followed by questions to review what you’ve learned. Divemaster, IDC and Course Director candidates may find this course useful to prepare for their exams. Your instructor may choose to waive the dive theory portion of the PADI Divemaster, IDC, or CDTC exams if a candidate has successfully completed Dive Theory eLearning within 12 months. Divers of all levels can take the course for personal enrichment. *This course fee only covers your online knowledge development. Practical training fees, dives, dive equipment, student slate and logbook are available at additional fees via your PADI Dive Center.
